Over the coming days and weeks, there will be a range of conferences which are decisive for our work to reduce marine noise pollution. Nicolas Entrup will take part in the following events as part of the OceanCare team of experts, and in cooperation with NRDC:
29.5. – 1.6.2018: Scientific Committee of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS). Bonn, Germany.
5./6.6.2018: Technical Working Group on Underwater Noise for the implementation of the EU Marine Strategy Framework Directive. Bucharest, Romania.
18.6. – 22.6.2018: This meeting of the Informal Consultative Process on Oceans and the Law of the Sea (ICP) will exclusively deal with the underwater noise issue. New York, USA.
The ICP meeting in particular is a highlight in our efforts to call for concrete measures by the international community to curb underwater noise.
